FLIPPERS, ANYONE?

OK, I will be the first to admit that I thought flippers were for those "serious" pageant go-er's. Well, last year when my daughter Presley lost her 2 front teeth, we skipped State Finals hoping that by the next year her teeth would be all filled in. W-R-O-N-G!

This time State Finals came around and she was missing 2 more teeth in the front. So after checking with a few flipper people, I chose "Unity Smile Design". You know those little "flippers" make all the difference in the world, even to those "not so serious" pageant go-er's.

When checking out their web-site, I contacted Janel at "Unity Smile Design" by e-mail. A cute little box arrived in the mail and when opened, contained an impression kit wrapped in pink tissue paper, an instruction sheet on beautiful floral stationary and some Hello Kitty "prize goodies", along with a welcome letter.

After reading the directions carefully, we made the impressions, sent them back by mail and guess what? Presley received her gorgeous flipper and it fit perfectly! It came with a pink flipper storage box with her name on it as well as another goodie "prize".

The bottom line is , I recommend "Unity Smile Design" for everyone who needs a flipper. Their professional, they care about their customers and make every effort to give 110%. They take that extra step to make sure each child is treated extra special. Personally,to see Presley smile with those beautiful teeth is worth more than any pageant prize!

Thanks Unity Smile Design!

We're getting ready to order our flippers today. Seeing your Presley that close with her flippers looking so natural sealed the deal for us. My daughter had a perfect smile until a permanent tooth grew behind a baby tooth. Now we're waiting for that permanent tooth (sitting beside her big front tooth) to grow in long enough for a retainer or to gradually move forward. Thanks so much for sharing your photo of your daughter, she's beautiful and she radiates confidence with her new smile!!

Thanks so much! I am sorry I just now read your post. Yes, it makes a huge difference. And she even sang during her talent competition with them on!

This is totally irrelevent to the topic, but I'm an 11 yr. old girl who really wants to do pageants but my parents won't let me. I'm really upset and want to. Any advice on how to win them over?

I'm sorry I just saw your post as I was going over my site.Sometimes I dont scroll down far enough to look at older posts. Why does your parents not want you to do pageants? Is it because of the cost? There are many different types of pageants. Some are fund raisers and help support alot of different causes. There are lots of pageants that are WAY EXPENSIVE but then there are some that are not. You just have to do alot of reasearch. Participating in pageants can give you self confidence, earn you money and scholorships for school. It is great for someone to get confortable speaking in front of others, learn some poise and presence (you would be surprised how much that will help you later on) As far as cost of clothing,make-eup etc. You can rent formal dresses or dress up some plain dresses, do your own make-up and hair (roll on hot curlers and pull some back and some down). Your best bet would be to do some Natural pageants first, and learn from your experience there. Maybe some of those points will help you.

Hey everybody, I have been very upset lately, because I am really into pageants, and really want to run for a beauty pageant. My mom is very busy and has 5 kids age 13 and under, with a newborn. With my moms busy life, and the fact that she gets constant migranes, headaches, and pains in her body, is very difficult, especially since I am so into wanting to run for a titleholder for pageants. My mom and I know how extremely expensive pageants can be. Mom wants me to do sports, and and take guitar lessons, I dont. But my mom doesnt know that i dont want to do sports and musical lessons.I really don't want to disappoint her. I think that if I told her how badly I wanted to do a pageant, she may consider me being in one. Advice???? thank you!

Hi, I am really upset because I really want to do a pageant but my parents won't let me do them. Money is really tight. I have found clothes on E bay but she still won't budge. I have told her I don't have to compete in glitz. And that it will give me more confidence and she still won;t budge. She is way to overprotective. What am I going to do? Can you give me some advice so she will let me be in some pageants and get some crowns.
